Systemic transformation in an organizations aims to bring about lasting change by altering underlying structures and supporting mechanisms which make the system operate in a particular way. These can include policies, routines, relationships, resources, power structures and values. In an organization, individuals learn to improve performance, increase knowledge and therefore understanding and eventually be able to develop solutions to their daily problems. As we seek to improve the quality of our graduates and develop as professionals in teaching in higher education, we are continually learning but does this learning at an individual level transfer to the department and the institution at large?
