Theme: Evolving Landscapes in Higher Education: Adapting to Changing Roles in Facilitating Learning
The 21st Century, largely considered as the information age, continues to influence and impact the working and learning environments all around the world. Those in management roles are working hard to keep pace with the fast digital speed with which the world is moving. The modern educator, too, does not want to be left behind in this journey. There is the need to ensure that the learning spaces are well equipped with knowledge, competencies, skills and practices that are in tandem with the needs of the world today. It is in this light that the Association for Faculty Enrichment in Learning and Teaching (AFELT) introduces the ISoLT 2025 conference, with a call to bring together scholars and researchers to share their research work, perceptions and experiences aimed at enhancing and informing the teaching and learning spaces. In preparation to participate and effectively share your ideas in the conference, whose main theme is “Evolving Landscapes in Higher Education: Adapting to Changing Roles in Facilitating Learning”. you are invited to submit a 300-word abstract on any of the sub-themes listed below to the contacts provided. Your presentation at the conference could take the form of a paper or a workshop.

Paper Presentation
This format addresses participants who wish to report findings from their research on educational development. Contributions may be empirical as well as theoretical. Paper sessions are simultaneous, themed sessions included throughout the programme, with three presentations per session. Each presenter is allocated 15 minutes for the oral presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion and questions from the audience. The presentation is typically based on a single original research study that is theoretically relevant and methodologically sound, and which at the same time inspires critical discussion and engagement with educational development topics. Paper presentations take place in 90-minute sessions. A moderator will coordinate the session and facilitate a 10–15-minute discussion across each presented paper at the end of the session.

The total presentation time for a PechaKucha presentation is 6 minutes and 40 seconds. PechaKucha, means “the sound of conversation” in Japanese and is an innovative and impactful storytelling tool that is increasingly gaining popularity.
